Lastovo is an island in Croatia, is an archipelago consisting of 46 islands with a total area of 56 km ².
The largest island is located south of the island of Korcula, between Dubrovnik and the Italian coast. Along Mljet is the largest island in the forest area of the Adriatic Sea. Until 1990 the island was used as a military base and closed to tourism. Now living
in Lastovo 700 people, mostly fishermen or farmers. In the summer months is populated mostly by Italians.
Lastovo island has a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot humid summers and long sunny and dry.
