Vir is an island resort located in the same name, located near the town of Zadar. The island is connected to the mainland by a bridge built in 1976.
Vir Island is famous for its parties during the summer and special landscapes. This island has numerous pastures, meadows, limestone hills, rocks covered with vegetation, pine forests.
Tourists can enjoy some water sports such as surfing, sailing. The island offers plenty of footpaths, where people can do mountain biking.
The island is very populated in the summer months and do not need the ferry. There is a 390 meter long bridge that connects the mainland island of Vir. Unlike other bridges, for example at the island of Krk, should not be paid any fee for crossing.
