Slano is a village in southern Croatia with a small port in the bay itself. It is located 27 km northwest of Dubrovnik. Slano can be seen on the main coastal road (M2, E65).
The main occupations are agriculture, fruit growing, viniculture, fruit growing, tobacco, herbs (sage, laurel), fishing and tourism.
Until now, there is a prehistoric area, the continuity of life extending into Greek, Roman and medieval days to this day.
A business regarding slano settlements, there are numerous Greek and Roman ruins and monuments, the most prominent being the Roman castrum on Gradina Hill, and the Christian sarcophagi, which are very well preserved in front of the Franciscan church.
Slano is one of the most picturesque places in the Dubrovnik Riviera, located in a delicate 2 km long golf course, a fine beach, with thick pines and olives, or traditional cultural lungs and numerous historical monuments.
