Cres is an island in the Adriatic Sea in the north of the Bay of Kvarner. The island is largely mountainous and elongated, with a length of 66km and width between 2 and 12 km. Together with the nearby island of Losinj, Cres was the largest single island,
and now the two are separated by a narrow channel over which a bridge is built.
South West Coast of the island of Cres and is besieged with sheltered beaches and coves, most with gravel, and to the north and east coast is rocky and steep, offering great views and an ideal habitat for rare birds.
